View full detailsIn a brief movie created by ITO Bindery, unidentified hands carefully arrange geometrically accurate blocks in stacked layers, and labels depicting the items are affixed using only the hand and visual observation. The tools utilized are essential: a paintbrush, a butter knife, a metal ruler, book glue; and two proficient hands. All components are meticulously put together and packed by hand with meticulous attention. Established by Haruo Ito in 1938, ITO Bindery initially operated as a modest bookbinding enterprise named Hakucho-do. When the ownership transferred to Toshio Ito, Haruo's son, in the late 1980s, the business changed and acquired its present denomination.
However, it was only in 2009 that ITO Bindery delved into developing the popular notepads we recognize and adore today. These notepads achieved considerable success almost immediately. Their simplicity conceals a skilful inventiveness that emerges from a systematic and thoughtful approach to realizing an idea.
